AI content marketing is a system, not a writer

Most AI content tools make drafting faster. Drafting was rarely the problem. The hard parts of content marketing are deciding what's worth saying, keeping it in your voice, getting it reviewed and publishing on a rhythm people can rely on.

Short answer

AI content marketing means using AI across five steps: training on your voice and context, finding ideas worth publishing, drafting, review, and a publishing cadence. A standalone AI writer covers one of them. Parlance is a content marketing system for public-company executives and their IR teams that covers all five, either as software you run ($99/month) or as a managed service with a dedicated content lead ($1,999/month).

Why "AI writer" is the wrong frame

An AI writer takes a prompt and returns a draft. That's useful, and it's the part of content marketing that was already cheapest to get done. What stalls most programs comes before and after the draft:

  • Before: nobody knows what to say that's specific to this company, so the topics come out generic.
  • During: the draft sounds like everyone else's AI output, so it needs heavy rewriting.
  • After: review takes weeks, versions multiply, and publishing becomes irregular.

Faster drafts don't fix any of these. A system does, by carrying context from one step to the next so that each step is easier than starting over.

The five steps of an AI content marketing system

1. Voice and context training

The system learns how you write and what your company is trying to do. Parlance trains on your writing, strategy documents and published content, and keeps goals, approved company material and editorial preferences together. A draft then starts with more than a prompt. Over time it remembers what you've rejected and what has performed.

2. Ideas from your own experience

The best material is often in the reasoning behind a decision, the exception to a rule or the detail you almost left out. Parlance starts with a guided conversation that draws this out, then shapes it into distinct arguments. One experience can become several pieces, each answering a different reader question, and you choose which ones belong in the plan. You can review what an idea is based on before it becomes a draft.

3. Drafting one main piece

Parlance drafts the main piece first, in your voice, with your context and approved sources supporting the argument. Getting the argument right once is cheaper than fixing five channel versions of a weak one.

4. Review before adaptation

Review is staged: the main piece first, for what it says, the evidence behind it and whether it sounds like you; then the channel versions. House rules are Reg FD-aware, avoid stock-promotion phrasing and keep in-progress deal details out. Management, IR and counsel keep their role in checking facts and approving the final communication.

5. Channels and cadence

Once the main piece is approved, one brief can become a blog post, an X thread, a LinkedIn post, an ActiveCampaign email and a press release. The plan keeps planned work, drafts, approvals and scheduled items distinct, so you know what's next and what's waiting. Timing, time zone and channel setup are agreed with you. A place on the plan is not permission to publish.

Self-serve or managed

Self-service ($99/month) gives you the platform with 1 voice profile and 1 seat. You run the conversations, choose the ideas, review the drafts and keep the plan moving. It suits a founder or communications lead who will put in the time each week.

The managed service ($1,999/month) adds people. A dedicated content lead learns your business, audience and voice, starting with a voice calibration session. They draft, work through your edits, and hold a weekly strategic review with you on what to publish, skip and queue. Team access covers IR, comms and executives. It suits executives who have the experience and judgment but not the hours.

Both are billed monthly. Parlance is currently invite-only.

Choose something else if…

  • You need high-volume SEO content. Tools built around keyword research and article volume are a better fit. See Jasper alternatives for options.
  • You're a marketing team writing as a brand, across many campaigns. A team writing platform suits you better. See AI writers for marketing.
  • You need organization-wide AI with SSO and audit logs. Look at an enterprise platform. See Parlance vs WRITER.
  • You only need occasional posts. A general assistant and a good style guide may be enough.

Who Parlance is for

Public-company CEOs who still write the important pieces themselves, the IR teams around them, and IR firms that need every client to sound like themselves. Typical output includes investor emails, shareholder letters, CEO LinkedIn posts, strategic explainers and earnings-support content. Frequently asked questions

What is AI content marketing?
Using AI across the content marketing process, not just for the writing: working out what's worth saying, drafting it in a consistent voice, reviewing it, adapting it for each channel and keeping a regular publishing rhythm. The drafting step is the easiest to automate and usually the least important.
Is an AI writer enough for content marketing?
For occasional posts, maybe. For a program that runs every week, usually not. A writer produces drafts from prompts. You still need ideas that are specific to your company, a voice readers recognize, a review step and a plan for what comes next.
How is Parlance different from an AI writing tool?
Parlance covers the whole sequence: it trains on your writing and strategy, draws ideas out of a conversation about your decisions, drafts one main piece, stages review, adapts approved work for each channel, and keeps a plan of what's next. You can run it yourself for $99/month or have a dedicated content lead run it for $1,999/month.
Can AI content marketing work for a public company?
Yes, with guardrails. Public-company content has disclosure risks a typical brand doesn't. Parlance's house rules are Reg FD-aware, avoid stock-promotion phrasing and keep in-progress deal details out of drafts. Management, IR and counsel still approve the final version.
Should I choose self-service or the managed service?
Self-service suits someone who will run the process every week and wants the software. The managed service suits executives who have the ideas but not the hours; a content lead runs the plan, drafts in your voice and holds a weekly strategic review with you.
