Copy.ai alternatives, by what you need instead
Copy.ai started as an AI copywriter and is now a go-to-market platform for sales and marketing teams. That's useful if you want workflows. If you came for writing, especially writing that sounds like a particular person, here's where to look.
If you want AI that writes in your own voice, trained on your writing, with the option of a content lead doing the work, look at Parlance (our product: $99/month self-service, $1,999/month managed). For a marketing platform with agents and multiple brand voices, Jasper. For enterprise governance, WRITER. For performance-scored copy, Anyword. For the lowest cost, ChatGPT or Claude with your own setup.
Where Copy.ai is today
Copy.ai now calls itself an AI-native GTM platform, built around Workflows, agents, Chat, Brand Voice and an Infobase of company information, with use cases across sales, marketing and operations. Its Chat plan is $29/month billed monthly, or $24/month billed annually, for 5 seats with unlimited chat words and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models. Workflow plans start with Growth at $1,000/month, billed $12,000/year, and go up to Scale at $3,000/month and custom Enterprise pricing.
Copy.ai is still a good choice for two groups: small teams that want cheap shared AI chat, and revenue teams automating prospecting and content workflows. People tend to leave when:
- They want a writing tool, not a GTM platform.
- The jump from $29/month to a $12,000/year workflow plan doesn't fit.
- They need governance and approvals across a large company.
- The writing has to sound like one specific executive.
The alternatives
1. Parlance: your own voice, self-serve or managed
Parlance is our product, so weigh this section accordingly. It's a voice-trained content system for public-company CEOs and the IR and comms teams around them. It trains on your writing, strategy documents and published content, then starts each piece from a guided conversation about your decisions. House rules are Reg FD-aware, avoid stock-promotion phrasing and keep in-progress deal details out of drafts. One approved brief becomes a blog post, X thread, LinkedIn post, email and press release.
Self-service is $99/month for 1 voice and 1 seat. The managed service is $1,999/month, with a dedicated content lead, a weekly strategic review and team access. Both are billed monthly; access is invite-only.
Who it isn't for: sales teams automating prospecting, or marketing teams producing high-volume campaign copy. See Parlance vs Copy.ai.
2. Jasper: a marketing platform with agents
Jasper is built for marketing teams. Pro is $69/month per seat billed monthly ($59 billed yearly), with 1 seat, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. Business adds unlimited Brand Voices, Style Guide rules, API access and more agents, at custom pricing with a 12-month commitment. There's a 7-day free trial.
Better than Parlance for: marketing teams producing many content types and campaigns. See Parlance vs Jasper.
3. WRITER: governed AI for large companies
WRITER is an enterprise AI platform with agents, Playbooks, a Knowledge Graph and voice profiles. Starter covers up to 5 users with a 14-day free trial; Enterprise adds departmental voice profiles, approvals, audit logs and SSO. We couldn't confirm a published price.
Better than Parlance for: company-wide AI rollouts with IT and security requirements. See Parlance vs WRITER.
4. Anyword: copy scored for performance
Anyword focuses on marketing copy with predicted performance scores. Starter is $49/month billed monthly or $39 billed yearly, with 1 seat and 1 brand voice. A 7-day free trial is available.
Better than Parlance for: performance marketers testing ad, landing page and email variants.
5. ChatGPT: the general assistant
ChatGPT has a free plan, and Plus is $20/month billed monthly, with Projects, custom GPTs and memory. Business is $25 per user per month billed monthly ($20 annually), from 2 seats. You supply the ideas, voice instructions and review.
Better than Parlance for: low budgets and broad, everyday AI use. See Parlance vs ChatGPT.
6. Claude: strong writing, your own setup
Claude has a free plan, and Pro is $20/month billed monthly or $17/month billed annually. Custom styles can be built from your writing samples, and Projects keep guides and examples together. Team Standard seats are $25 per seat per month billed monthly.
Better than Parlance for: hands-on writers who want a capable model and are happy to maintain their own style guide. See Parlance vs Claude.

How to choose
- Decide if you need workflows or writing. If you rely on Copy.ai's GTM workflows, the closest replacements are other automation platforms, not the writing tools here.
- Name whose voice it is. A brand voice suits Jasper, WRITER or Anyword. A person's voice suits a tool that trains on that person's writing and context, such as Parlance.
- Decide who does the work. Every option here is software you operate, except Parlance's managed service.
- Count the review steps. Public companies and regulated teams need a review process, not just a generator.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the best Copy.ai alternative?
- It depends on what you used Copy.ai for. For writing in one executive's own voice, with an optional managed service, we'd suggest Parlance (our product). For a marketing platform with agents and several brand voices, Jasper. For enterprise governance, WRITER. For performance-scored ad and email copy, Anyword. For the cheapest capable assistant, ChatGPT or Claude.
- Why are people looking for Copy.ai alternatives?
- Copy.ai is now part of Fullcast and positions itself as a go-to-market AI platform for sales, marketing and operations. Its self-serve Chat plan is inexpensive, but the workflow plans start at $1,000/month billed annually. Buyers who only wanted a writing tool, or who want writing in a specific person's voice, often look elsewhere.
- Is there a cheaper alternative to Copy.ai?
- Copy.ai Chat is already low-cost at $29/month billed monthly for 5 seats. ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro are $20/month each for one person, and both have free plans. For teams, ChatGPT Business and Claude Team Standard are $25 per seat per month billed monthly.
- Which Copy.ai alternative is best for brand voice?
- For a company voice shared by many writers, Jasper (Brand Voices, Style Guide on Business) or WRITER (voice profiles, approvals). For one executive's personal voice, Parlance, which trains on that person's writing and strategy and remembers what they've rejected.
- Does Parlance do sales workflows like Copy.ai?
- No. Parlance doesn't do prospecting, lead intelligence or sales automation. If those are why you use Copy.ai, stay with it or look at other GTM tools.
